Stagecoach West Emergency Contingency Plan August 2018

There has been a problem with the remaining 11 ADL Enviro 300's due to transfer from Gilmoss to Gloucester. ADL are running behind on manufacturing Gilmoss' new ADL E400MMC's as a result Gilmoss cant release the final 11 E300's. A contingency plan has been put into place as a result to ensure that Stagecoach Bristol's new routes are able to run from 2nd September. the plan is

  • the 13 SN18*** Enviro 400MMC's for Swindon are put straight into service on the 66 route
  • 2 of the other 3 SN18*** Enviro 400MMC's for Cheltenham are being loaned out. 1 at stroud. 1 in Gloucester until the E300's are released.
  • the Scanias that currently run the 66 will be loaned out to other depots that need them.
  • Tridents that decide to start are expected to be pulled from reserve in Eastcott road and distributed across the west
  • All ADL E200's that are transferring from depots to Bristol are expected to transfer as scheduled, but are to be covered by a mix of reserve tridents and ex 66 Scanias

Any more information on this please comment.
